I’m currently working on the creation of a photography yearbook gathering all my pictures taken since my first camera in 2005. I’ve already selected 168 photos, 72 taken between 2005 and 2013 and 96 in 2014.
The most difficult to me has been to choose a way to sort the photos to showcase efficiently. I have imagined so many different categories, themes and else that eventually I chose to sort them by date!
So easy and logical! I’m still wondering why I didn’t think about it first!
The yearbook will probably contain 5 chapters:
- The jump
- New horizons
- First results
- Time of doubts
I expect to complete the yearbook by the end of next week and get first copies in the 10 following days!
A catalog is a very important way to showcase artworks. It allows people to understand what I intend to show and build as a photographer. That’s why the next step will be to solicit galleries and art dealer here in South Africa first and then worldwide to showcase my work.
And of course I’ll post the pdf on this website so as to let you having a sight on it!
By the way, the picture you see right here is the cover of the yearbook. It’s square size, 21 x 21 cm and will contain almost 170 pages! Quite big isn’t? Don’t hesitate to tell me whether you like it or not!
